Watch the Video: It’s a medieval manor house. No, it’s a cliff with caves. Amazingly it is both! You have to see amazing Maison Forte de Reignac. Set into a cliff with caves converted into rooms and a manor-house façade. Caves inhabited around 15,000 years ago with Cro Magnon families, the building was first developed 1,000 years ago into a multi-level dwelling.

Watch the Video: From Eibsee, Germany, we hop a cable car for a jaw-dropping ride up to Zugspitze mountain. Its platform views are spectacular, and boasts the world’s longest cableway span. Zugspitze is the highest peak in Germany, with both German and Austrian cable cars reaching the top. Panoramic views from the connected Austrian platform are also amazing. Then after savoring both German and Austrian platform views, we return via a cog-wheel train ride down to Eibsee.

Beautiful Kananaskis Country region just west of Calgary, Alberta, contains numerous parks to discover. It is off the heavy tourist path and usually by-passed by tour buses heading straight for world-renowned Banff National Park.

Along the David Thompson highway, we admire the beautiful panoramic vistas with a couple brief stops: Kootenay Plains Ecological Reserve, and Allstones Lake trail staging area overlooking Abraham Lake.

Watch the Video: We visit my favorite sites around the badlands of Drumheller, a terrain dating back 100 million years when dinosaurs roamed this area. We get up-close to skeletons in the Royal Tyrrell Museum, including Tyrannosaurus Rex, Gorgasaurus, Stegoceras, Centrosaurus – most excavated from Dinosaur Provincial Park. Also visit the Hoodoo Trail, Horse Thief Canyon, and hike to eerie formations at Horseshoe Canyon.

Watch the Video: Close to Baravia, experience a spine-tingling stroll across one of the worlds longest pedestrian suspension bridge - Highline 179 near Reutte, Austria. When built in 2014, it held the record as the worlds longest of its type. The ruins of Ehrenberg Castle on the top of the mountain are a legacy to the historic trade route it controlled through this mountain pass – a route dating back to Roman times connecting the Mediterranean to northern Europe.

Watch the Video: We take a captivating boat ride tour through Kompong Phluk, a water village with buildings floating or raised on stilts on the edge of Tonle Sap lake. The lake is the largest in Southeast Asia, and during the rainy season it rises 30 feet and swells 6 times its size. Seeing this village on a relaxing boat ride provides a nice add-on experience to touring Angkor temples in the area.

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is host to the largest concentration of native rock art on the North American Plains.
